DIRECTOR

One of the first things Connie noticed after becoming a Christian was how often pastors and churchgoers referenced The Pilgrim's Progress. Eventually, she came to understand why this timeless story has resonated for generations and is excited to help bring it to the stage. Her favorite hero’s journey story is Ben-Hur, and her favorite musical is How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

CHOIR DIRECTOR

Katie is a vocalist and music educator with a background in opera, musical theatre, and arts administration returning to HPP after music directing for 1776. Her favorite musical is She Loves Me.

COSTUME DESIGNER

Vicki brings her sought-after expertise to her fourth HPP production, returning to one of her specialties: the Renaissance era. Since childhood, her favorite musical has always been Victor/Victoria.

SET DIRECTOR

Perhaps one of HPP's most versatile crew members, Stefan has acted in our productions, created puppets, built set pieces, and designed our graphics. What excites him most about The Pilgrim's Progress is the incredible variety of stagecraft involved. "We get to work in so many different mediums." His favorite musical is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and his favorite hero's journey is The Dark Tower series.

PROP MISTRESS

Rochelle has worn many hats at Honey Pearl Productions, from costume design to light board operator. This time, she is taking on a new challenge as prop designer. What excites her most about The Pilgrim's Progress is all the creative possibilities the production offers. Most importantly, she believes its message is both powerful and relatable, and hopes this show blesses someone. Her favorite hero's journey is Katniss Everdeen's from The Hunger Games, and her favorite musical is The Wizard of Oz.

STAGE MANAGER

Charlotte will be stepping into the role of stage manager for the first time with The Pilgrim’s Progress. She is especially excited about the choir and the opportunity to communicate the story of redemption in a way that is both accessible and deeply impactful. Her favorite hero’s journeys are Luke Skywalker and The Goonies. Her current favorite musical is The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

SOUND TECH

Cline returns as our sound tech extraordinaire. What excites him most about The Pilgrim's Progress is getting exposed to the story for the first time. His favorite musical is Come From Away, and his favorite hero's journey is Artham P. Wingfeather's from The Wingfeather Saga. He appreciates Artham's story of stumbling, finding redemption, and ultimately helping his nephews and niece become who they were meant to be.

MAKEUP DESIGNER

Merissa returns to HPP with a renewed focus on makeup design after leading both makeup and props for 1776. She is also excited to lend her talents to set construction and puppet creation for this production. Her favorite musical is The Phantom of the Opera, and her favorite hero's journey is Phil's transformation and fulfillment in Hercules.

SET CARPENTER

Chris has been involved with the set in one way or another for every Honey Pearl Productions show, earning the unofficial title of our accidental brick expert. What excites him most about The Pilgrim's Progress is helping mastermind how all the scenes come together through the set pieces. His favorite hero's journey is the one featured in Big Fish, and his favorite musical is Moulin Rouge!.

Myriah steps into a mentoring role for The Pilgrim’s Progress and is especially excited about the set design. Her favorite hero’s journey story is Stay Where You Are and Then Leave by John Boyne, particularly the character Alfie Summerfield. Myriah’s favorite musical is a toss-up between Bandstand and Parade.
